Fishing Reports

It was not a day for the big boats today due to the SW wind. They stayed tied to the docks but the Inshore boats had an epic Red Drum day and some Sheepshead. They had both keepers and big ones. Red Drum are very active on windy days. They also make for some very tasty fish tacos. Sheepshead are good eating too.

Hopefully the wind will lay down tonight and everyone will be on the water tomorrow.

A SW wind started up this morning which made for choppy conditions so the big boats stayed home except for Release who fished the Marlin Club Tournament. Under very rough seas Release managed to release a White Marlin. The Inshore boats had some good fishing and Red Drum like the wind. They had good Drum bites and some pretty Speckled Trout.

It was another pretty day on the banks and the fishing was hot. The big boats had a good day of slinging fish. They slung some nice Wahoo and some big Yellowfin Tuna along with Dolphin and Snappers. Predator released a Blue Marlin and a White Marlin. Release released 3 Blue Marlin and Tuna Duck released 2 Blue Marlin. The Inshore boats had a pretty good day too. They had some Gray Trout along with some Bluefish, Sheepshead and Grouper.

Ken Fechter of Hatteras, NC caught a 7.5lb Trigger fish on Carolina Girl

The morning started out with sunshine but the thunderstorms quickly moved in. A couple of the big boats made it out and the fishing was slow. They came in early after scrapping out a Wahoo and a couple of Spanish Mackerel. The Inshore boats had better luck in between thunderstorms this morning. They managed to get on some Bluefish, Red Drum, Sheepshead and Cobia.

The rain didn't keep all of our offshore boats in today, 5 of them headed out this morning to see what they could find. They returned a little wet but had catches of Dolphin, Wahoo and Amberjack. Sea Creature released a Sailfish.

A couple of the inshore boats made it out this morning and caught limits of Red Drum and Bluefish.

The morning started out bright but it wasn't long before the clouds moved in. The Offshore boats had a slow fishing day but did manage to catch a few gaffer and bailer Dolphin. They also had a few Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Amberjacks and some bottom fish. Bite Me and Sea Creature each released a Sailfish. The lightning started up but not before the Inshore boats were able to get on some Sheepshead this morning. Rain looks to be the norm for the next few days.

It was another beautiful day on the blue water but the fishing was scrappy. The big boats managed to scrap out a catch with a few Dolphin and Wahoo. They also had a few Yellowfin Tuna and some bottom fish. Calypso and Release each released a Blue Marlin. Our Nearshore boat had plenty of Spanish Mackerel this morning. The Inshore boats were able to go Inshore and ocean-side. They were able to get on the King Mackerel, Grouper and Amberjacks. They also had some Bluefish and Speckled Trout.

It was another beautiful day in paradise and the fishing was good. The Offshore boats did a lot of slinging today. They slung some nice Dolphin on deck in both gaffers and bailers. They also had a few Blackfin Tuna and some bottom fish. The Inshore boats made anglers happy catching Bluefish, Red Drum and Amberjacks.

It was another beautiful day on the blue water and the big boats scrapped out a few Dolphin with both gaffers and bailers. They also had a couple of Wahoo and some bottom fish along with a few Amberjacks and King Mackerel and a Yellowfin Tuna. One boat caught plenty of Spanish Mackerel on their way in. Our own Brother's Pride released a Blue Marlin and a Sailfish. Pretty work Brother's Pride. The Inshore boats had very good Red Drum fishing with mostly slot-size fish and a few big ones.

Ray Conlon of Orangeville, PA caught a 6.7lb. Triggerfish on Carolina Girl

It was a pretty day on the blue water today. The big boats had a good amount of Dolphin and a few Wahoo. Carolina Girl, Native Son and Sea Creature each released a Blue Marlin. Inshore boats had catches of Cobia, Red Drum, Bluefish and Snowy Grouper.

Inshore Boats had good catches of Red Snapper, Red Drum.

Inshore Fleet made it out today catching Bluefish, Red Drum, and Cobia.

It was a beautiful day on the blue water today and the fishing was good. The big boats slung a good amount of Dolphin over the gunnels with both gaffers and bailers. They also had scattered Wahoo and some Blackfin Tuna. The Inshore boats were able to fill some coolers with some nice Pamlico Sound Clams. They also had some pretty Cobia, Red Drum and Bluefish.

The weather is heating up and the fishing is also. Dolphin catching is good with bailers and some gaffers. They also had some Wahoo and a few Yellowfin Tuna. Hatteras Fever released a Blue Marlin and Native Son released a Sailfish. The Inshore boats had some of everything as it was pretty enough for them to go Nearshore. They had Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Atlantic Bonitas, King Mackerel and Amberjacks.

It was a pretty day on the deep today. The Offshore boats slung plenty of fish on the decks. They had another day of good Dolphin fishing along with a few Wahoo and a couple of Yellowfin Tuna and some bottom fish. Hatteras Fever released a Blue Marlin. The Inshore boats had good catches of Speckled Trout and Bluefish.

It was a pretty day on the blue water and the fishing was hot. It's been a Dolphin daze with limits of Dolphin hitting the decks in both gaffer and bailer size. They also had some Wahoo and bottom fish like B-liners. Native Son released a Blue Marlin. Inshore boats had some of everything with Cobia, Bluefish, Amberjacks, Spanish Mackerel and Speckled Trout filling coolers.

Offshore Fleet had another great day of fishing, with limits of Dolphins, some Wahoos, and some Blackfin Tuna. Predator released a Blue Marlin.

Inshore Fleet had a great day of catching Red Drum, Spanish Mackerel, and some Blue Fish.

It was another great fishing day on the blue water for the Offshore boats. They had their limits of Dolphin along with some Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna and some Wahoo. Sea Creature released a Sailfish. The Inshore boats had catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish along with Red Drum and Cobia.

The big boats hit the blue water this morning and had an excellent Dolphin fishing day with both gaffers and bailers. They also had some nice Wahoo along with some Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna. Sea Creature released a Blue Marlin. The Inshore boats had some of almost everything. It included Red Drum, Cobia, Bluefish and Speckled Trout.
