Most of the BIG boats headed offshore today, in hopes of filling their parties coolers before the "Big" Blow and the fish didn't disappoint. Today was a spectacular day for sun and fun but not so much for calm seas. It was rough out there. Big boats hit the docks in the early afternoon but not without the fish. They had good Dolphin fishing with bailers and some gaffers and an occasional Wahoo. Native Son released a Sailfish. Inshore boats had a good day with Speckled Trout, Red Drum and some Bluefish. The calm seas don't look to be in the cards for this week. Some tropic activity off of our coast is creating the good surfing conditions but not so good for offshore fishing.
