What a beautiful day we had today, to was hard to get work done when you have to look out the window all day and see slick calm conditions on the Pamilco Sound. We did have one boat offshore fishing today, they had a great catch of Blackfin Tuna and Tilefish, with some being citation size. We are booking a few charters for spring tuna fishing so don't miss out. Give us a call to book your trip of a lifetime today.

Wind gusts up to 35- 40 kts. and heavy rain squalls kept everyone onshore today. Seas will be big the next couple of days which will curtail most fishing activities. Enjoy the long holiday weekend!

Abundant sunshine made for a perfect day fishing offshore. Boats returned with good catches of Blackfin Tuna. Gray Tilefish and Grouper were caught as well. To get in on the action, call 1-800-676-4939!

Citations:

Jason Willey of Denton, MD: 13.5 lb. Gray Tilefish in Good Times.

Sean Howard of Salisbury, MD: 10 lb. Gray Tilefish on Good Times.

Cameron Speir of Santa Cruz, CA: 12 lb. Gray Tilefish and 20 lb. Grouper on Good Times.

Weather steadily declined as the day went on. Rain and wind moved in the early afternoon. Forecast is calling for icy rain this evening. It sure makes us think of hot summer days lazing on the water. If it makes you do the same give us a call and we will hook you up for a summer trip and help get you through the winter.

What started out as a nice pretty day quickly turned into southwest winds 20 to 25 and rain, however it was warm, 65. Which is nice for January but I'm sure with north wind 20 to 25 forecasted for the rest of the week will change that. Anyway, there were no boats out today.

Sunday, January 11, 2015

A nice East wind 5-10 kts with 2' seas made for a good day of fishing offshore. Two charters went out today and returned with real good catches of Blackfin Tuna! No boats fished the Sound!

Today's Citations:

Good Times: Tim Hagerich of Hatteras, NC - 30lb Blackfin Tuna

Yumm Tum-Lum of Glen Allen, VA - 22lb Blackfin Tuna

Al Avendano of Virginia Beach, VA - 30lb Blackfin Tuna

Paul Huynh of Glen Allen, VA - 22lb Blackfin Tuna

Baotri Nguyen of Henrico, VA - 25lb Blackfin Tuna

It feels like forever since anyone has made it out to fish. The wind blowing NE today kept everyone on shore. Sunday and Monday might provide a chance to get on the water before the next blow from the north comes through. The tuna should be ready to bite some hooks when the anglers manage to get out.

In the meantime, keep warm and think happy thoughts about your next fishing adventure!

Temp a little warmer today but the wind still blowing! No boats made it out today.

Today's picture: sometimes when the warm water temperature mixes with the cold air, it creates a steam. The "white line" you see in the Sound is the steam!

Well, just as predicted the wind is really blowing today out of the north west around 30 with higher gusts and COLD! Needless to say there were no boats out, we did see some duck hunters going out, boy are they tuff.  Call us to book your Tuna trip 1-800-676-4939

No fishing today, ol' man winter has arrived! Strong north west winds 20 to 25 with dropping temperatures into the 30s today and colder tonight. Tomorrow more cold weather with north winds 25 to 30 and gust to 40, great for duck hunting but not fishing. We are trying to stay warm here in the store and are starting to order new t-shirts and gifts for this year. Can't wait to see the new designs. We are also booking a few trips for the spring. We would also like to wish Jessie Anderson, Dita Young and Tammi Gray good luck as they head to out to look for some Big Bluefin Tuna and hopefully get some filming for Wicked Tuna. Go Get'em Girls!!!
