Carolina blue skies and plentiful sunshine made for a great day fishing inshore, near shore, and offshore.

Red Drum releases continue to be the hot news in the Pamlico Sound. One boat went clamming and gathered 200 clams. They also hunted for Sand Dollars and found nearly 150. Boats that fished near shore returned with good catches of Spanish Mackerel and a few small King Mackerel.

Most offshore boats returned early this afternoon with limits of Dolphin. Each angler is allowed 10 Dolphin/day and most boats had a catch of 60 Dolphin. The Wahoo bite was scattered today.
