Weather took a turn for the chilly last night with temps dropping into the 40's. Things warmed up into the 50's by late afternoon. No offshore boats fished today. We had several inshore boats taking out waterfowl trips and they reported good Red Headed Ducks and Pintails over the water. The marina will be closing at noon on Wednesday and closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday. We will reopen Friday November 27 at 5:30AM. Storewide sale Wed and Friday with lots of items 30-50% off!

Even the Sea Gulls couldn't catch a fish today! The temps were in the low 60's dipping to the mid 50's! The winds steady were steady North blowing 20-25kt. This combined with the gale warnings, no boats fished today!

A gale warning is in effect until 7p.m. this evening with winds from the north gusting up to 40 kt. High seas (9-12 ft.) kept offshore boats from departing today. White caps in the Pamlico Sound also halted inshore fishing trips as well. The weather next week looks better - so, plan to come to the island and celebrate Thanksgiving with a fishing adventure.

Great day to be in Hatteras, if you were a DUCK! Lots of rain and high winds kept all the boats in today. Looks like these conditions may continue into tomorrow, but be sure to check back.

No boats left the dock today, just a slow day in Hatteras. Weather was warm and a bit of breeze in the air. Not really feeling like fall yet, but it's just around the corner. Check out the catch below from yesterday though.

Beautiful morning and slick calm afternoon, boats headed out for a great day of fishing. Live bait King Mackerel fishing was good for both the charters and the commercial boats today. Out in the Gulf boats reported pretty good Dolphin, Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna fishing. Good Times released 2 White Marlin and private boat Bill Clough Ford released a Sailfish. From the talk on the radio today there were also a lot of sharks released

Beautiful fall day and the wind laid down enough for offshore charter Captains to do what they do best! They returned to the docks with limits of King Mackerel, 38-55lb range and good catches of Blackfin Tuna, 27-32lbs! Three Sailfish were released too!

Boats that fished near shore hooked on to a good Gray Trout bite!

No inshore Captains had trips today.  Some kept busy getting ready for Duck Hunting trips!  Lets book them up! Morning and afternoon trips available! 800-676-4939

Still a little windy for the offshore fleet. Expecting better conditions tomorrow.

One brave inshore boat fished the Sound and brought a limit of Red Drum and a few Spanish Mackerel to the dock! Pretty work!
