A family came in yesterday with some interest in going fishing, they decided to go ahead and give a half day inshore trip a try. They showed up this morning very eager for this adventure. Off they headed in search of Red Drum or whatever was biting. The next time I saw them they were coming in to fill out their citations for the Big Red Drum they released. They also caught some nice size Bluefish

A couple of boats headed offshore today with their parties hoping to get a day in before the wind picked up again. They report good catches of both Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna along with a scattered Wahoo and Mako Shark.

So all in all fishing out of Hatteras Harbor was pretty good today.

Debra Young of Midland, MI released a 46" and 49" Red Drum on Adventure

Betty Freer of Wake Forest, NC caught a 32lb Blackfin Tuna on Sea Creature

It's hard to believe that March is nearly over. It has been a hard month weather-wise and hopefully April will bring about more Spring like conditions as charters are picking up. No one fished today as SE winds brought severe thunderstorms into our area. Don't miss out on a wonderful opportunity to spend time with family/or friends fishing out of Hatteras Harbor Marina! Call 800-676-4939 to book your inshore or offshore trip.
