Another calm day with blue skies! Fishing was good today with good to limits of Mahi, good Yellowfin Tuna and a few Grouper. Carolina Girl released a Sailfish. Inshore boats were catching Bluefish and releasing Red Drum. Nearshore boats were catching Bluefish and Amberjack. 


Sound Bound: Sheri Phillips of North Potomac, MD released a Red Drum.

Good Times: Lee Ulrich of Mount Joy, PA caught a 41lb Grouper.

Carolina Girl: Zackary Oudersluys of Chesapeake, VA released a Sailfish and caught a 72lb Yellowfin Tuna.

Monday, June 26, 2017

Several boats out fishing on the Gulfstream today they returned with some limits of Dolphin and excellent large class Yellowfin Tuna as well as a few Blackfin Tuna and a large Shark was released. Inshore boats were catching keeper Drum, releasing larger Red Drum, catching Speckled Trout and limits of clams were found on the sandy flats. Weather was breezy in the morning and moved on to clear and calm.


Good Times: Derek Edwards of Chesapeake, VA released a 100" Shark.

Tradition: Lawson Roberts of Chesterfield, VA released a Red Drum.

Sea Creature: Jeremy Stafford of Frisco, NC caught a 70lb Yellowfin Tuna.

Several boats fishing offshore today. Weather was overcast and rainy and then moved on to sunny and windy. Offshore boats were catching good Dolphin and a few Tuna. Release released a White Marlin. Inshore boats were not booked today, but we heard some Puppy Drum being caught. Sorry for the lack of pictures the camera didn't work correctly.

Winds from the SSW kept all of our offshore fleet at the dock today. Some inshore boats braved a choppy Pamlico Sound and they had a great time catching Red Drum (keepers and over slot). Check out the citations below. The wind is supposed to fall out sometime early tomorrow and next week looks like perfect weather for fishing! Another busy fishing day on Hatteras! Inshore anglers had a great time today and their catches consisted of Spanish Mackerel, keeper Red Drum, keeper Flounder, and Bluefish. One group collected a limit of clams from the Pamlico Sound. The Dolphin bite was slow again for offshore anglers, however a few parties had nice catches of bailers. The Blackfin Tuna bite was good and a few Wahoo were caught as well. Bottom fish included Amberjack and Cobia.

Lots of fishing action in Hatteras today! This morning inshore anglers returned with Spanish Mackerel and Speckled Trout. This afternoon brought about a good Red Drum bite with most fish being over slot. One boats fished near shore and reported slow conditions but did manage to bring back a nice catch of Spanish Mackerel. Our offshore fleet released three Sailfish and one White Marlin. Dolphin fishing was fair today and the Blackfin Tuna bite was good. Bottom fish included Triggerfish, Black Sea Bass, and Amberjack. Come down to the dock between 4-5 p.m. to watch the daily catch hit the docks!

Heavy rain showers kept inshore anglers in this morning. This afternoon they had decent Red Drum fishing. The Billfish bite was hot for the offshore fleet today. 9 Blue Marlin, 4 White Marlin, and 2 Sailfish were released. Dolphin fishing fishing was real good. The Yellowfin Tuna bite was real good as well. Blackfin Tuna provided some nice catches and a few Wahoo made it into the fish box. Fishing is hot - want to get in on the action - call 800-676-4939! Gray and rainy in Hatteras today. Offshore boats stayed at the docks, Inshore boats were fishing in the sound and catching Red Drum and releasing larger Red Drum.

Monday, June 19, 2017

Gulfstream winds kept the offshore boats at the dock. Inshore boats however were able to get out and make a day of it. There were keeper Red Drum as well as released Red Drum a few Speckled Trout and Bluefish as well as clamming.

Sound Bound: Robert Clark of Atlanta, GA released a Red Drum. Thomas Regenski of Greentown, PA released a Red Drum.

Hope you took your Dad fishing today or threw a line out to remember! Weather was choppy offshore and no boats fished from Hatteras Harbor. Inshore boats were finding keeper Drum, Cobia, Speckled Trout and Bluefish. Temperature is climbing and fishing is hot as well!
