Lots of boats fishing today in decent conditions. Bright blue sky warm temps and a breeze. Boats were catching good Mahi, fair Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo but the billfish bite was really on with lots being seen and more being released.

Inshore boats returned with Spanish Mackerel, Gray Trout, Bluefish and Red Drum.

SW winds made for a very breezy day inshore and offshore. Overall, fishing was slow today. Red Drum were biting inshore but were elusive when approaching the boat. Offshore, Dolphin fishing was scattered and some nice gaffers made it to the dock. A few Blackfin Tuna were caught. One Sailfish and one Spearfish were released. Bottom fishing included Amberjack. SW winds are supposed to continue for several days.

Fishing was good in the Pamlico Sound this morning. Anglers caught many different species of inshore fish including Speckled Trout, Sea Mullet, Gray Trout, Flounder, and Bluefish. Spanish Mackerel and Shark fishing were good this afternoon. Red Drum were spotted and one large one was lost this morning. Several large Drum were released this afternoon. Catching large Red Drum on small rods is quite challenging and a lot of fun!

Dolphin fishing was good offshore today. A few Blackfin Tuna made it to the fish box. Bottom fishing was good with Vermillion Snapper and Grouper being caught. Two Sailfish was released. You couldn't have asked for a nicer day to be on the water - low humidity, beautiful Carolina skies, and abundant sunshine!! Don't be left out, call 800-676-4939 to book your trip today.

We need several people for a Make Up Charter on Saturday.

This morning inshore anglers caught Cobia, Speckled Trout, Gray Trout, and Sea Mullet. There were also some "keeper" Puppy Drum and Red Drum releases.

Fishing was slower than usual today offshore, although Captains reported a beautiful day and the fact that it sure was good to be offshore again after several days of rain. Most of our fleet fished today and each returned with a few Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna. The Wahoo bite was scattered. Four Sailfish were released. Every boat is fishing tomorrow, so check back and see what tomorrow brings.

Inshore fishing produced a good Red Drum bite this morning. Other than that, a few Speckled Trout were caught.

SW winds did not stop anglers from going offshore this morning. Six Sailfish were released today. Both bailer and gaffer Dolphin made it into the fish box. Blackfin Tuna fishing was good and a few Wahoo were caught. Hopefully the wind will switch direction soon and make for cooler temperatures and better fishing conditions.
