Red Drum releases excited inshore anglers all day! Some keepers were caught as well. Morning anglers returned with a nice catch of Speckled Trout. Only two boats ventured offshore this morning and reported better conditions than expected. One boat released a Sailfish.  There were scattered catches of Yellowfin Tuna and fair catches of Blackfin Tuna. The Dolphin bite was scattered. Wahoo fishing was good with citation size fish. Fair weather and good fishing go hand in hand. Spanish Mackerel fishing was good inshore and near shore this morning. Drum fishing picked up this afternoon with some nice releases. Offshore anglers experienced beautiful Fall-like weather. Tuna fishing continues to be good with fair catches of Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna. A few Dolphin were reported. The Wahoo bite was fair and a few King Mackerel have shown up. A few Sailfish were released. Come to Hatteras this weekend for our annual celebration of HI watermen - lots of fun and educational activities for the whole family!

Spanish Mackerel fishing was excellent for inshore and near shore anglers all day! There will certainly be some good fish fries tonight. It was a beautiful day for a trip to the Gulf Stream. Dolphin fishing was good and Wahoo catches were scattered. Tuna fishing was good with some limits of Yellowfin Tuna and good catches of Blackfin Tuna. Our Make-up trip released a Blue Marlin and a Sailfsih.

Don't miss our annual celebration of Hatteras Island watermen! Day at the Docks will be this Friday and Saturday with events on both days.

Great weather today! A few King Mackerel showed up and they must have chased the Wahoo off because only a few were caught today. Dolphin were scattered in the catch as well. Tuna were the catch of the day with both Yellowfin and Blackfin being caught in good numbers. Inshore boats were catching Gray Trout and Bluefish as well as releasing large Red Drum. Fingeance: Richard Strader of Hurricane, WV released a 48" Red Drum.

Monday, September 12, 2016

Several offshore boats today with blue skies in the morning a bit of cloud coverage in the afternoon. Boats reported good Yellowfin Tuna and Blackfin Tuna. Wahoo bite was a little slower today with boats still catching large sizes. Dolphin were in the coolers as well in fair numbers. Inshore we had very good Spanish Mackerel fishing a few Bluefish and Speckled Trout. Gambler and Hatteras Blue both released Sailfish.

Pretty on the Gulfstream this morning, the wind picked up a little in the afternoon. The Wahoo bite offshore is still going strong, anglers caught their limits! The Dolphin catches were good while the Yellowfin Tuna and Blackfin Tuna catches were scattered. 

Nice day on the Sound aswell! Inshore anglers released Red Drum.

Abundant sunshine and slick calm water made for a beautiful late Summer day! Red Drum fishing continues be hot inshore. Wahoo is the word offshore with limits reported by some boats. Those who went after Dolphin returned with good catches. Come to the marina dock between 4-5 p.m. to watch the catch come in. Everyone's welcome!

Inshore anglers ventured out into the Pamlico Sound for great Red Drum fishing today! Check out the citations listed below. One boat fished near shore and returned with a fair catch of Spanish Mackerel. The Wahoo bite was red hot offshore today! Anglers also returned with good catches of Dolphin. A cloudy, overcast morning turned into a beautiful afternoon. Red Drum fishing was the main event for inshore anglers. Some Bluefish and Flounder were caught as well. The weather was better than anticipated offshore. Wahoo fishing continues to be good! Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, and Yellowfin Tuna helped to fill the fish box. Bottom fishing was good.

Red Drum fishing was red hot today with anglers releasing over the slot Drum and bringing in some keepers. Another excellent day for the Wahoo bite, with good catches of Dolphin for offshore anglers.
