Blackfin Tuna continue to dominate the fish boxes with citation weights. There were also some Yellowfin Tuna and large Wahoo in the mix with a few Dolphin. Offshore weather was fair with temps in the 60's and light winds. Inshore boats found some Red Drum to fight with this morning.

Weather kept all boats at the docks today. It was certainly a quiet day in Hatteras. Sun was out and temperatures were in the 70's.

Saturday, April 28, 2018

A large school of Red Drum was spotted inshore this afternoon, but they refused to bite the hook. At least they were seen. The weather was beautiful and the fishing was pretty good offshore today. The Blackfin Tuna bite was on and there was fair Yellowfin Tuna action. Scattered Dolphin and Wahoo bites helped to complete a good day of fishing. We have a couple of folks signed up for a Make up charter this week. If interested call us at 800-676-4939 or stop by the marina anytime to sign up! Boats return with catches between 4 -5 p.m. daily. Stop by to see what is thrown on the dock!

The morning brought rain and thunderstorms which delayed our offshore fleet from an early start. They waited until the storms subsided before heading out to the Gulf Stream. Anglers returned with a "mixed bag" of mainly Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Dolphin (both gaffers and bailers). Overall, the parties were pleased with their catches! Plentiful sunshine this afternoon helped to keep everyone's spirits high. Several inshore boats went out this morning and Bluefish were the only fish biting. There are lots of boats fishing tomorrow, so check back to view the catches. Don't let Spring out of your grasp without getting out to fish. We offer inshore, near shore, and offshore trips. We also offer Make Up charters for groups of less than six people to help fill offshore charters. Give us a call at 800-676-4939 for more information.

Today is picture perfect as far as weather is concerned. The offshore fleet headed out to fish the Gulf Stream to experience lots of good bites and fond memories. Tuna fishing was good with both Blackfin and Yellowfin being caught. There was a scattered Wahoo bite as well as a scattered Dolphin bite. Offshore charters offer a full day on the water with lots of action to keep anglers busy. Interested? Give us a call at 800-676-4939 and we'll be glad to hook you up. We also offer inshore and near shore fishing charters.

The weather remains quite chilly with the north wind, but most of our fleet took advantage of the chance to get out onto the water and fish. Inshore anglers spotted schools of big Drum in the Pamlico Sound but the fish were not biting. Some nice size Bluefish were biting so they were not skunked. Offshore the tuna bite was on today. Good catches of Blackfin and Yellowfin kept anglers busy all day. There were several Wahoo reeled in as well as a few Dolphin. Hatteras Fever II hooked a Blue Marlin and the last we heard was still battling it. The Blue Marlin was released by a very lucky angler - Congratulations!

Drum fishing is beginning to pick up in the Pamlico Sound. Inshore trips run half days and can accomodate groups from 4 - 6 people. Several charters made it offshore today and came back with scattered catches of Dolphin, a few Wahoo, and some Yellowfin Tuna. The Blackfin Tuna bite was on again and anglers returned with good catches. It's supposed to blow again tomorrow (REALLY???), I'm sure that everyone is getting tired of this weather pattern holding on, so plan a fishing trip and maybe, MAYBE things will warm up!

Offshore didn't happen with the wind keeping boats in. Inshore was a different story with some Red Drum coming back to the docks. Looks like the wind is going to be tricky this week, stay tuned.
