Weather was ugly in the early morning but improved greatly as the day went on. Two boats fished today. They caught great medium to gaffer size dolphin and Release released a Blue Marlin.

Really great weather today with a sound that looked like a mirror.  Anglers today caught some really nice size Gaffer (larger) Dolphin a few Blackfin Tuna and a couple of Amberjack. We had a makeup charter out today on Gambler they had a Sailfish release. A nice honeymoon present for the angler.

Offshore boats came back with excellent catches of dolphin (gaffers) ans few blackfin tuna.

Inshore boats had good catches of Spanish mackerel ans gray trout. Big cobia seen....

Offshore boats had excellent catches of dolphin and few wahoo. 1 white marlin was released and 2 large sharks were released!

Inshore boats caught few gray trout.

There were no boats fishing offshore today due to nasty weather. We did have 1 of our larger charter boats out fishing along the beach and caught some Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish. There was also a 1/2 day trip in the sound they caught some flounder and gray trout.

Galot III boated a Blue Marlin during the HVOO Tournament, it weighed in at 515 lb. Congratulations!! Waste Knot II has boated a Blue Marlin that they started fighting at 1:22. We don't know the ETA yet. Just keep an eye on the web cam. Waste Knot II's fish weighed in at 461lb

Boats fishing offshore had great days of fishing. They had good catches of gaffer size Dolphin and pretty decent catches of Blackfin Tuna. Boats fishing near shore today had good catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish

 

We would like to welcome Jennifer Scarborough to the 40 and over crowd. She turns 40 today, wish her a big one.

Excellent Dolphin fishing today with some Blackfin Tuna in the mix. Big Eye released a Sailfish and Hatteras Fever released a White Marlin. Inshore they were catching Flounder, Gray and Speckled Trout and Bluefish.

First day of the HVOO with 3 Billfish releases.

Overcast and rainy all day with warm temps and high humidity. No boats fished today. Tomorrow starts the Hatteras Village Offshore Open.

Offshore boats caught limits of dolphin! One sailfish was released.

Inshore boats had good catches of gray trout and bluefish. They caught few keeper flounder Cobia were seen!
