Inshore anglers "blistered the Puppy Drum" in the Pamlico Sound today - lots and lots of Drum! Offshore anglers had a bit of a struggle today, but the bite picked up some this afternoon. The Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna bites were fair. Some boats found schools of Dolphin. The King Mackerel bite is picking up and bottom fishing was pretty good. A beautiful day is on tap for tomorrow - let's hope the fishing improves.

Rain showers did not dampen the efforts of inshore anglers this morning. Fishing was a bit slower than yesterday, but they returned with some Speckled Trout, Drum, and Gray Trout. A handful of boats fished offshore and a few Dolphin and Wahoo were caught. The Blackfin Tuna bite was good. Two Sailfish were released. Bottom fishing continues to be good.

We were blessed with some beautiful weather today. Inshore the fishing was just as good as you can get - one captain stated that it was a day that you dream about!  Anglers caught limits of Speckled Trout and Red Drum both this morning and afternoon. Check out the pictures along with the smiles - way to go! The fishing offshore was on the slow side. Some Dolphin, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna were caught. Bottom fishing was good. Some Sailfish and one Mako Shark were seen -even on slower days there is a lot to see when you travel offshore. Don't miss out on a wonderful opportunity to get out and explore the waters of North Carolina. Give us a call at 800-676-4949 to book your fishing adventure.

No Offshore boats fished out of Hatteras Harbor today due to ocean swells. A couple of Inshore boats went out in the morning and had an excellent catch of Red Drum and then topped it off with a clamming trip where they caught their limit.

Sunday, October 08, 2017

A good number of boats headed offshore this morning, hoping for the nicer today than expected. They got what they had wished for the ocean was great and the fish were there. The boats returned with a mixed bag of fish, Wahoo, nice size Dolphin and both some Yellow and Blackfin Tuna. There were also some Trigger fish caught.

Inshore anglers enjoyed catching Speckled trout and Red Drum

Another beautiful day in paradise! There was a lot of activity on and around the dock today as our fleet took advantage of the day and the weather to get out and fish. Inshore anglers reported a good Speckled Trout catch this morning  and this afternoon some groups took advantage of the slick conditions and went clamming. Our offshore fleet enjoyed a good day of fishing the Gulf Stream. Their catch consisted of Wahoo, Dolphin, Yellowfin and Blackfin Tuna, and Triggerfish. One Blue Marlin and one Sailfish were released. Way to go!
